In case you missed it, we just made our latest 2026 Democratic Primaries endorsement: Darializa Avila Chevalier in NY-13.

Darializa is running to defeat Rep. Adriano Espaillat — an out-of-touch incumbent who personifies establishment machine politics.

Espaillat’s top campaign donors? AIPAC and the real estate industry.

When New Yorkers like Darializa were organizing and protesting an end to Israel’s unfettered genocide in Gaza, Espaillat was busy listening to his largest donor — the pro-Israel lobby — and voting to send billions of dollars of US-supplied bombs and other weapons for Israel to use against Palestinians.

And while 88% of residents in Espaillat’s district are renters, their Congressman is also in the pocket of developers who are actively raising rents and pushing working-class people out of the city.

He even received an ethics complaint for rigging a bid and violating Federal bribery laws, favoring a development firm that donated substantially to his campaign.

Heading into his reelection race, Espaillat has a war chest of hundreds of thousands of dollars of corporate PAC money from the same corporations price-gouging the working people of NY-13.

Darializa is different. She’s a working-class New Yorker who knows what it’s like to struggle with the very issues the establishment ignores. Unlike Espaillat, she’s rejecting campaign contributions from AIPAC and corporate PACs, and is ready to fight for her neighbors in Congress.
