The administration and its allies in the Tech industry are trying to use their power to restrict states’ rights to regulate AI. They are attempting to advance a ban that would allow Big Tech companies to grow their AI products with no guardrails for user safety, environmental impact, or data protection.

As consumers, we become collateral damage in Big Tech’s pursuit of winning the AI race. A ban would give Big Tech a major blank check to double down on their efforts, and states that have protections that safeguard young people would see their laws nullified.

We need our lawmakers to know that we are against this, and that they need to act NOW to protect us. Send them a letter and demand that they oppose a ban on AI regulations.

Our leaders need to know that we, as young people and supporters of safe tech, believe in a future in which everyone can thrive, not just Big Tech billionaires. And that means having guardrails on emerging technology.

Without these safeguards, Big Tech will keep building products with their own profits in mind – at our expense. That’s a risk we can’t afford to take. Write to your lawmakers and demand they oppose a ban on AI regulations now.
