eligiousFreedom_07_15_20 Friend,
Last week, the U.S. Supreme
Court delivered a big win for religious liberty. Because the first,
fundamental freedom listed in the Bill of Rights has been imperiled in
recent decades, this was a critical case.
In a 7-2 vote, SCOTUS
ruled that the Little Sisters of the Poor, a Catholic charity, cannot
be forced by the government under the Affordable Care Act to provide
free contraception to their employees in violation of the ministry's
religious beliefs.
It is unconscionable that American citizens might
have their religious freedom trampled. No American should ever be
compelled by the government to violate their religious beliefs, but
that's exactly what happened to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Before the ruling, many House Republicans (including Mike) signed an
amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to restore the Little Sisters of
the Poor's constitutional rights. The Court's decision, which upheld
the religious and conscience protections advanced by the Trump
administration, is a win for the First Amendment.
We hope you will
show your support for religious freedom, too. Will you sign our

America was founded on
religious freedom. If the radical left is able to take that fundamental
value away, we can no longer remain a free country. Forces are always
going to try and find ways to trample our rights in the name of
"progress," but we will never stop fighting to protect our liberty.
Thanks for your support,
Team Johnson
