Hi John,
This week, I had the incredible honor of introducing President Barack Obama to my colleagues in Congress and moderating a conversation about building a brighter future. It brought me right back to where this journey began for me.

I was 16 years old spending my days debating politics in class and my evenings phone banking and organizing at the Arizona Democratic Party office. When President Obama was elected in 2008, I remember sitting in front of my TV, watching his victory speech over and over.
President Obama taught us that real change comes from us, people who believe in a better future and are willing to do the work.
That’s why I ran for Congress. And that’s why I’m asking for your support today.
Will you chip in $10 — or whatever you can — to help us continue building a movement rooted in hope, organizing, and possibility? [[link removed]]

Because here’s the truth: We are facing an urgent moment. Our democracy is under strain from forces that want to drag us backward. Families are hurting under the weight of rising costs. And too many people feel like the government isn’t listening to them.
But I believe, just like I did at 16, that when we organize, when we show up for each other, when we lead with courage and community… we win.
I am grateful every day to be doing this work — and I cannot do it alone.
Thank you for believing in a better future.
With hope,
Yassamin Ansari
