This is outrageous, John:

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos is calling on schools across the
country to re-open and resume in-person classes this fall, in clear
disregard of social distancing recommendations from the Centers for
Disease Control.

DeVos is even threatening to withhold federal funding from schools that
choose not to reopen their doors in the fall.

We can’t allow partisan rhetoric and political goals to determine whether
it’s safe for our children to congregate in schools again.

Congress needs to step in immediately to keep our children safe from Betsy
DeVos and Donald Trump.

require schools to follow the advice of health experts and scientific

The decision to send kids back to school needs to be informed by the
public health experts, not dictated by politicians threatening to withhold
critical funding.

Anything less is just dangerous and needlessly puts our kids at risk.

That’s why we need Congress to step in here. We can’t allow Trump and
DeVos to play politics with our kids’ wellbeing.

It's up to us to show overwhelming grassroots support to make this happen.

step in and require schools to follow the public health experts, not
partisan rhetoric?

Thank you for raising your voice to protect our schools and our kids
today. Let’s keep working and keep fighting.

Together, we’ll defeat Donald Trump and take power away from people like
Betsy DeVos this November.
