Home Depot must show leadership by refusing to cooperate with ICE—sign the petition.
Dear MoveOn member,
Across the country, Home Depot stores and parking lots have become sites of fear, violence, and tragedy. Under Donald Trump's deportation agenda, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have been targeting day laborers and immigrant workers at various Home Depot locations, devastating families and entire communities.
This isn't just cruel—it's dangerous. In August, Carlos Roberto Montoya, a native of Guatemala, was struck by a vehicle and killed while fleeing an ICE raid at a Home Depot in California.1 His death was the result of the company's allowing ICE to operate freely on its property.
Home Depot's cooperation with ICE is unacceptable. Add your name to demand they take immediate action to keep immigrant workers and customers safe.
Earlier this month, masked, heavily armed immigration agents took at least six people outside a Home Depot in Los Angeles—including a toddler.2
Home Depot could stop this today. As a private company, it has the legal right to deny ICE access to its stores and parking lots unless agents have a warrant. But instead of protecting the people who make its business possible, Home Depot has continued to look the other way while ICE turns its stores into sites of fear.
Immigrant workers are the backbone of the construction industry, and Home Depot is in a powerful position to show leadership by refusing to enable ICE.
Home Depot must stop cooperating with ICE and terrorizing the very communities it profits from! Will you sign the petition?
Trump has made clear that no place is off-limits when it comes to his mandate of mass deportations. That means parking lots, construction sites, and even neighborhood hardware stores have become dangerous places for immigrant families.
When corporations like Home Depot allow ICE to conduct raids on their property, they become complicit in Trump's violence.
Home Depot is also helping law enforcement agencies like ICE track its shoppers. Records show that hundreds of AI-powered automated license plate reading cameras in Home Depot parking lots are feeding into massive police surveillance systems, allowing cops, ICE, and other agencies to track customers without a warrant.3
Customers shouldn't be swept into a nationwide surveillance system just for shopping for tools or home supplies. Tell Home Depot to stop cooperating with ICE now.
Home Depot must protect, not endanger, the people who make its business possible. That's why we're calling on Home Depot to:
-
Publicly condemn ICE raids targeting workers and day laborers
-
Deny ICE agents access to its stores and parking lots without a warrant
-
Protect all customers and workers from ICE actions
No one should fear being arrested or deported simply for showing up to work. And no one should lose their life trying to escape a government raid at a hardware store.
Sign the petition to demand that Home Depot keep ICE off its property and support immigrant workers and families.
Thanks for all you do.
