More than 47 percent of the district will be new voters. I’ll need to introduce myself to thousands of new voters, which means TV ads, mail pieces, digital ads, door knocking and phone calls, events, and more. This all adds up to be really expensive.

While my opponent may be able to raise money outside our district and give his own campaign almost $150,000, I’m counting on grassroots donors like you to fuel our campaign. Two-thirds of our support comes from our district and 75 percent of our donations are $250 or less.
