When the pandemic started, Mitch McConnell called on his Democratic opponent Amy McGrath to “suspend ads during the coronavirus outbreak,” saying that “airing ads” was “tasteless and shameful.”

Mitch’s campaign even claimed they were going to stop all “voter contact” and “campaign activities” and focus all of their campaign resources on helping people deal with the coronavirus pandemic – and that Amy should do the same.

Turns out that was all a lie. Because Mitch McConnell is now blanketing Kentucky with MILLIONS of dollars in new TV and radio ads attacking and lying about Amy McGrath.

It’s no surprise that Mitch McConnell is a hypocrite or that he’s digging into his massive war chest of special interest and corporate PAC money to run negative ads. For months, we’ve been rising in the polls and gaining momentum against Mitch. We’ve even been out-raising and out-spending him for the first time ever!

We’ve got Mitch running scared. And after his charade of trying to trick Amy McGrath to stop holding him accountable failed, he’s now going on the attack.

Mitch McConnell has never been more vulnerable than he is right now. A brand-new poll shows Amy McGrath WINNING by one point, and Nate Silver now says that he absolutely thinks Amy can defeat Mitch. But unless we respond to these new attacks from McConnell, we could lose everything we’ve fought so hard for.

We’ve set an emergency goal of immediately raising another $350,000 to fight back, defeat Mitch McConnell, and take back the Senate, but right now we’re still falling incredibly short and running out of time.
