December Issue of The Missouri Methodists

From Rev. Kim Jenne, Director of Connectional Ministries

The December issue marks both a milestone and a transition. This 150th edition is our final monthly issue, celebrating more than a decade of stories of faith and ministry across Missouri—and honoring longtime editor Fred Koenig, whose 25 years of storytelling have shaped how we see God at work in our churches and communities.
Beginning in 2026, The Missouri Methodists will move to a quarterly print and digital format with a refreshed design and deeper focus on resourcing local churches. Please read more about these changes and Fred’s transition on pages 15-18 of this month’s issue. Read the December issue now at www.moumethodist.org/magazine

Celebrate Sustainable Holidays

The holiday season is a time for connection, reflection, and gratitude, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Embracing sustainable holidays encourages mindful consumption and reduces waste, ensuring that we can enjoy this special time without compromising the well-being of our planet. By prioritizing eco-friendly practices, we create lasting memories while promoting a healthier environment for future generations. Get ideas from the multi-faith One Home One Future campaign at https://www.onehomeonefuture.org/sustainable-holidays
