Dear Friend,

Federal agents carried out a raid operation on the Northside of San Antonio this past weekend. More than 140 people were detained in the middle of the night at a food court area. 

There are serious questions surrounding the ICE raid in San Antonio. Teenagers—even a baby—were caught up in the chaotic scene. I am demanding answers from ICE and other agencies. It is my duty in Congress to conduct oversight over potential illegal activities. Read more about my oversight activities here.

The secrecy is unprecedented in modern America. There needs to be accountability and transparency.

This week, I shared my concerns about the San Antonio ICE raid. I have reached out to several federal and local law enforcement agencies but have not received a response. I will continue to monitor the situation and push the administration for answers.
