Now, polling shows this race in a dead heat. We won this seat by surprise back in 2017, but to keep it we'll need to fight hard. Senator Jones is facing a mountain of dark-money spending in Alabama -- that's why he needs us to step up right now. Karl Rove's group One Nation and the Club for Growth are just some of the dark money groups funneling millions into this race: They have $3.5 million booked in TV spending starting today -- because it didn't matter who won the Republican primary, all that matters to someone like Karl Rove is that Doug Jones loses. But as COVID-19 cases rise throughout the state, it really matters who is fighting for Alabama right now. Doug has been a champion for responses that help Americans and Alabamans, from testing to financial support. Meanwhile, his opponent has said he "wouldn't have a clue" how to deal with COVID-19. The Senate needs leaders who are prepared to deal with our biggest problems, not Trump-endorsed football coaches who aren't prepared for the job. Thank you, Maria Cantwell
