DEVELOPING… in an interview with the far-right website Breitbart, Trump’s EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin just revealed that the administration is fast-tracking an effort to repeal a foundational EPA finding that greenhouse gases are a threat to public health and welfare.

The finding (known as the Endangerment Finding) has served as the scientific and legal cornerstone for virtually all federal rules directly limiting climate pollution. Repealing it would be one of the most dangerous and far-reaching pro-polluter and health-harming actions of this presidency.

Our movement needs to respond, and we need to do it quickly. To power our campaigns to hold anti-environment extremists accountable, we’re seeking to raise $20,000 by the end of this month. Right now, we’re not on track. We need your help, so we’re asking:

This move to repeal the EPA’s Endangerment Finding would have immediate consequences for our health, our air, and our climate. Here’s what it could mean for your family and your future:
- More pollution in the air we breathe. Asthma attacks, heart disease, and respiratory illnesses will rise, especially in communities near highways and power plants.
- Climate-heating emissions will skyrocket. Oil, gas, and coal companies will be free to pump carbon and methane emissions into the air, with zero accountability — and we all will pay the price with more heat waves and extreme weather disasters.
- The EPA will abandon its duty to act on climate change. That’s right: the agency tasked with protecting our environment will no longer have the duty or authority to address climate change.
- The Clean Air Act will be undermined. This would ax a key part of the Clean Air Act, which has protected communities from toxic air and deadly pollution for generations, driving down health costs.
The Endangerment Finding is what allows the government to set limits on climate pollution from vehicles, power plants, oil and gas rigs, and hold climate-polluting corporations accountable in court when they break the law.
