Dear Friends & Supporters,

On any given day, tens of thousands of children and adults are languishing in immigrant prisons and jails across the country. Many are subjected to medical neglect, sexual and physical assault and other forms of human rights abuses. This is not freedom and we need to put an end to this.

Freedom for Immigrants has built an impact investment bond fund - The Freedom100 Fund - which pairs traditional philanthropy with new sources of capital to free hundreds of immigrants by paying their immigration bonds. We provide each person bonded out with opportunities to strengthen relationships with those who have similar experiences, while creating an organized post-release ecosystem that provides mental health services, access to volunteer-support services and court hearing reminders, and ultimately models a world without detention. Once bonded out, people are eight times more likely to win their cases, especially if they have post-release support.

We need your help to continue building and modeling a world without detention, one where immigrants are welcomed, not caged. We are excited to announce the launch of our match campaign with a goal to raise $200,000 so that we can continue this fight, expand the reach of our programming, and free at least 100 people from detention this year! Every dollar donated throughout July will be doubled, up to $50,000, from our generous and committed partners at the Elevate Fund.

Will you join us in building a world without detention?

Join us in this fight, and together, we will put an end to the isolation of people currently suffering in this profit-driven system.
