I’m proud to share an exciting new tool that puts transparency and accountability at the center of Maryland government.

Working with the Legislative Black Caucus, I supported legislation to ensure you and all Marylanders could better track the contracts we approve through the Board of Public Works (BPW). I’m proud that we launched a new dashboard last month to do just that.

This new online dashboard allows you to track state contracts and spending from January 2023 to the present. Moving forward, my team will add more data to this every month, including additional back years.

I’m your voice on the Board of Public Works, and I do my best to ensure we get the best value from every contract I review and vote on.

Transparency isn’t just about numbers — it’s about fairness, equity, and opportunity. When we know where our resources are going, we can improve access for minority- and small-business owners, create new economic opportunities, and ensure every Marylander benefits from state investments.
