Tran Thi Nga
 

Tran Thi is a Vietnamese environmental activist. She was sentenced to nine years in prison for criticising her government’s handling of a toxic waste spill. But Amnesty International members said NO to her unjust imprisonment and campaigned for her freedom. Earlier this year, she was reunited with her young sons.

Monireh and Yasaman are a mother and daughter, both imprisoned in Iran. They are serving nine year sentences for peacefully protesting Iran’s laws which force women to wear the veil. Magai Matiop Ngong was just 15 when he was sentenced to death in South Sudan. Now 18, he remains on death row.
