Over the past couple weeks, Abby has been meeting with hardworking people in IA-01 who feel the impacts of dysfunctional leadership in D.C.

Abby has visited the Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids to call for better Medicare reimbursement that will keep rural health facilities open and to learn more about how we can lower prescription drug prices. Iowans shared heartbreaking stories with Abby about impossible choices they have to make each month to afford medicine they can’t live without.

She’s visited with farmers to discuss the implications of the trade war and how to best implement a plan that will create broadband access all across the district. And after Abby got the news that the administration granted 30 more oil refinery waivers despite recently looking Iowa farmers in the eyes and promising to do better, she took action to stand up for the neighbors she grew up with.

Abby’s commitment to working hard for Iowans is just one of the reasons we’re so proud to be right there with her.
