Friend,
In April, when I endorsed Joe Biden on Earth Day, I said I was convinced beyond the shadow of a doubt that he would increase his commitment to climate action and make it a major driving force in his administration.
He proved me right. This week, Joe Biden released his climate policy and vision for America, focused on rebuilding our economy with good-paying union jobs and a central commitment to environmental justice. This is about building a better America -- a better world -- for all of us.
2020 is our last, best chance to defeat climate change. Joe Biden's decision to embrace our vision for a clean energy economy is proof that climate is a winning campaign issue, one I'm running on in my reelection. Donate $5 or more to support my campaign in Washington state today.

We are the first generation to feel the sting of the climate crisis and the last that can do anything about it. That's why this moment is so important. The vision being championed by Joe Biden is work we've long championed, so we know it is what we need to succeed -- and we have to. It's imperative that the next president lead a national mobilization to defeat climate change.
The fight to defeat climate change is really one that's about courage. Courage to take on big fights, to make big changes, and to give people a vision of a hopeful future again. That's what I've fought for my entire life, and I'll keep fighting every day here in Washington state as our governor, especially ahead of this November's election.
We need to commit to the challenge of defeating climate change, and it starts at home. That's why I'm running for reelection in Washington, to keep up that fight. Will you donate $5 or more to my reelection and support the fight against climate change right now?
Very truly yours,
Jay
