Goods and services contracts

DES starts solicitation to replace data communications contract

DES is starting solicitation for contract 05925, data communications, to succeed statewide contract 05819 [ [link removed] ], which expires Sept. 30, 2026.

We are looking for purchasers and subject matter experts to help us develop this contract. If you are interested, join our kick-off meeting at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 10. Attendees will learn more about the solicitation process, time commitment, and responsibilities. This meeting is not for interested bidders.

Price change for motor vehicles contract

DES posted updated pricing for contractor Bud Clary Ford for contract 28423, motor vehicles. The percent discount of MSRP decreased due to Ford OEM removing government incentives for discounts. This change applies only to the following vehicles and only for the model year 2026:


* *2026 Ford Mach-E RWD: *From 17.69% to 7.8% discount
* *2026 Ford Mach-E AWD:* From 16.59% to 7.3% discount
* *2026* *Ford Expedition 2WD: *From 12.71% to 11% discount

We’re updating how we listen

To better support our customers and improve statewide contract management, DES is transitioning from contract-specific and customer-specific listening sessions to commodity-focused sessions. Examples include sessions that focus on IT services and equipment, transportation, and facilities.

This structure creates space for agency and local government subject matter experts to discuss policy changes, industry developments, contractor performance concerns, and operational needs. Participation is limited to Washington government organizations.

Please watch for information about commodity areas and meeting information in this newsletter and share it within your organization.
