Working for Donald Trump sounds like a pretty good deal -- you can break all the laws you want, and your boss will make sure to have your back with a presidential pardon after you’re convicted!
At least that’s what Trump said he was considering doing for Roger Stone -- the president’s former political adviser and self-proclaimed “dirty trickster” who was found guilty of obstructing the House investigation into Russian election interference last year.
Though federal prosecutors recommended almost a decade of prison time, Trump was able to get Stone just 40 months. But now the president has commuted Stone’s sentence entirely, tweeting that the convicted felon “can sleep well at night!”
