Slaughterhouses and meat processing plants in the U.S. discharge about 112 million pounds of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution every year, along with other foul slaughterhouse waste, which ends up in our waterways. It’s as shocking as it is gross. This fall, we joined allies to file a lawsuit challenging Trump’s decision to abandon Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations that would have prevented millions of pounds of slaughterhouse and meat processing plant pollution from reaching our waterways. Over 60 million people, including disproportionate numbers of people with low incomes and people of color, live within one mile of rivers and streams degraded by slaughterhouse industry pollution. We won’t allow Trump to give Big Meat corporations a free pass to foul our waterways. To fight back, we need you with us to hold Trump accountable in court, John! We’re rallying more power and resources for this critical legal fight – join us to unlock $10,000 by making your gift before MIDNIGHT tonight! Onward together,
