Pontiac, Mich.– Oakland County Executive Dave Coulter, who proudly introduced Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin today at the New Deal Leaders conference in Washington, D.C., released the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s reckless social media post against her:

“I was proud to introduce Elissa Slotkin at a conference in Washington, D.C. this morning. She is one of the most patriotic people I know, someone who has dedicated her entire career to the country she loves. From Iraq to the Pentagon to Congress, she’s served the nation with intelligence and relentless courage. Calls for violence against elected officials have no place in our politics or a healthy democracy.”
