This week, we hosted our 8th annual Rising Star Awards! ✨ It was an incredible evening celebrating the impact young legislators and changemakers are having across the country.
We awarded U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and U.S. Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) with the 2025 Jacob K. Javits Prize for Bipartisan Leadership, and we're honored that both of them joined us to deliver powerful speeches on their hopes for a more collaborative future.
Our 2025 Rising Star Awards were awarded to Senator Alexis Calatayud (R-FL) and Representative Imani Barnes (D-GA) for their exemplary commitment to building bridges and effective policymaking.
Senator Löki Tobin (D-AK) and Representative Justin Ruffridge (R-AK) received the 2025 Cherisse Eatmon Collective Impact Award for their efforts to strengthen public education, overriding two gubernatorial vetoes to secure vital funding for Alaska's schools, including $50 million for classrooms across the state.
