When I decided to run in Carleton, people said I could never defeat Pierre Poilievre.

I said, “Watch me.” But here's the thing – it was never about me. It's about us.

And this spring, Canadians in Carleton and across the country sent Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives a clear message, and gave Mark Carney and our new Liberal government a strong mandate to get things done.

But this didn’t happen overnight. In Carleton and across Canada, we were relentless, knocking on doors, listening to people’s stories, and sharing our positive plan to build Canada strong.

Since then, we’ve delivered real results for Canadians, like cutting taxes for the middle class, eliminating the GST for first-time homebuyers on homes up to $1 million, removing federal barriers to internal trade to bring down costs, and so much more.

Now, our Liberal team is moving forward with generational investments in Budget 2025 including building our economy with major projects and millions more homes, making the National School Food Program permanent, and introducing new legislation to strengthen Canada’s Criminal Code, boost law enforcement and make communities safer.

While Pierre Poilievre and his Conservatives double down on the same divisive politics Canadians rejected in the spring, we’re focusing on you, and our plan to build, protect and empower.
