Seasonal Overnight Shelters to Open on November 24th in Skagit County 

 

Skagit County Public Health, in partnership with cities, Welcome Home Skagit, Family Promise of Skagit Valley, Friendship House-First Step Shelter, Community Action of Skagit County, Faith Community Fellowship Church, and Salem Lutheran Church, will offer overnight shelter to those in need of a warm, safe place to stay this winter season.

Three seasonal shelters will be open every night from November 24, 2025, to mid-March 2026. An additional shelter in Concrete, located at the East County Resource Center, operated by Community Action of Skagit County, will be activated temporarily during severe weather events.

*Adults Seeking Shelter:
*Check in daily at 2:30 pm at Welcome Home Skagit Resource Center located at Salem Lutheran Church (2529 N. Laventure Road, Mount Vernon). Beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, though every effort will be made to provide shelter for as many people as possible.

*Pregnant and Parenting Families Seeking Shelter:
*Intake by Family Promise of Skagit Valley required. Please call (360) 854-0743 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm or (360) 764-1486 after 4:00 pm.
