Dear friend of IDP,
Next week, IDP staff and many people we work with will be taking a well deserved break to spend time with loved ones, at a time when we all need community and support more than ever. Each day we are witnessing crueler injustices against immigrants in our communities and more unabashed attacks on all of our most fundamental rights.
Honestly, it can be difficult to see hope on the horizon.
However, many of you have refused to despair. The support you have provided to IDP has been critical to ensuring we can keep forging ahead in our work to defend immigrants’ rights and challenge injustice and abuse.
Since the new administration took power in January, we have received incredibly meaningful support from new friends and supporters across the U.S. To everyone who donated for the first time this year, we are profoundly grateful.
Additionally, long-time supporters who have for decades been with us in this fight to uphold our shared humanity and challenge the grave harms of the immigration and criminal legal systems have also stepped up. We are equally overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you.
