This isn’t new. Ever since he came down the escalator in 2015, Trump has unleashed violence, hate, and chaos in our politics. He has demanded that Democrats be arrested, silenced, and destroyed for standing up to him. And every time he does it, he pours gasoline onto the fire of political violence already sweeping this county.
And I’ve experienced it firsthand. Every day, my social media feed is flooded with violent and racist threats. I was tear gassed and hit with a car by Trump’s personal gestapo, ICE, at a peaceful protest in Broadview. I’ve watched Black and brown families kidnapped off the street of my neighborhood with no due process.
This is Trump’s America and he’s only striving to make it more violent.
Trump is unraveling before our eyes—angry, erratic, possibly dementia-raddled, and cornered by a collapsing economy. Just look at his ties to pedophile and human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Look at the overwhelming blowback he’s received from the violence ICE is unleashing on our communities. He’s completely lost his mind.
