Wisconsinites are calling for real action to reduce gun violence, and the Legislature is busy…infighting and playing politics. Again.
More than 85% of Wisconsinites support background checks on all gun sales. You’d think this would be an obvious place to start doing some actual work, right? But some lawmakers are squabbling, stalling, and wasting precious time, all while Wisconsinites remain exposed, day after day, to the threat of gun violence.
Contact your lawmakers now and tell them to pass background checks. [[link removed]] Wisconsin has waited long enough.
Here’s the thing: thanks to our new, fairer maps, politicians don’t get to hide behind gerrymandered districts anymore. These seats are finally competitive. These lawmakers are finally accountable to us – and they know it.
