John,

Zoom out for a minute, and you’ll realize a lot of politicians have a similar story: Grew up wealthy. Went to an Ivy League school. Law school, maybe. Benefited from a lot of connections, ran for office.

My story is a little different.

I grew up in a working-class family in the heart of Tempe. Neither of my parents finished college, and in times when my dad was between jobs, our family struggled to make ends meet. We relied on our church community and food stamps to get by.

At 16, I got my first job at this Burger King.

To pay for college at Northern Arizona University, I waited tables at Pizza Hut in Flagstaff.

I got my degree in social work. My first job after college was at a shelter for homeless youth in Phoenix. Then, I went on to run one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the country.

Running for office wasn’t in the cards. But as a social worker working with some of our state’s most vulnerable communities, I saw firsthand how the failures of elected officials negatively impact everyday Arizonans.

From seeing families struggle to pay medical expenses, provide for their kids, or be forced to work multiple jobs in order to keep up with bills, I knew something had to change. So I ran for office, I won, and I haven’t lost an election since.

As Arizona’s 24th Governor, I’ve proudly erased medical debt for over 350,000 Arizonans, cut taxes for middle class families, and lowered the cost of healthcare and childcare.

I’m focused on creating real solutions for our state’s toughest challenges — unlike the Washington politicians who prefer to play partisan games. And I need your help.

After Donald Trump won Arizona by over 5 points last November, he and national Republicans have made me one of their top targets to defeat in 2026. And with all the far-right billionaires and super PACs in their corner, that means they’ve got virtually unlimited resources behind them.

John, I’m in a tough race — and I learned early on that when your neighbor is in a tough spot, you show up.

Grassroots support is how we’re going to win this toss-up race. And I know that $5 or $10 might not sound like much, but it all adds up when everyone chips in.

That’s why I’m humbly asking for you to pitch in any amount to help me continue serving Arizona for another four years. Political experts are saying there’s just a 50/50 chance I win this race — and that means I can’t do this without you. [[link removed]]
