Opposing Kaploun Nomination for Antisemitism Envoy Yesterday, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard from Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun, the nominee to be the Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism at the State Department. Kaploun has a record of weaponizing antisemitism. He has made blatantly false accusations and failed to respond to antisemitic comments made by President Trump in his presence. Our call for the Senate committee to reject this nomination drew coverage on the topic.
NJN Sees Opportunity in UN Security Council Resolution 2803 New Jewish Narrative welcomes the passage of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, in which the Security Council endorsed the establishment of the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza. Since the ceasefire in the Gaza War came into force a month ago, one stumbling block to progress has been a lack of verifiable process towards the establishment of the ISF, which is intended to play a key role in providing security to Gazans and ensuring the demilitarization of the Gaza Strip. Without such progress, we risk seeing the status quo – in which the Gaza Strip is split between Israeli and Hamas control – fester, and the path towards Palestinian independence wither on the vine.

Press Congress to Help Stop Settler Violence We’re in the midst of an unprecedented wave of settler violence targeting Palestinians. There were a record-breaking 264 documented attacks in October, resulting in widespread injury, destruction, and displacement. Critical legislation introduced in both the House and the Senate would reinstate and codify President Biden’s now-repealed Executive Order that held violent settlers accountable. Ask your Representative and your Senators to cosponsor the West Bank Violence Prevention Act.
