A federal court just struck down Texas’s rigged congressional map.
It’s a major victory for democracy. It’s a clear rebuke of what the GOP tried to do by redrawing the lines to silence Black and Hispanic voters and steal districts they couldn’t win fairly—including right here in TX-09.
But this fight is nowhere near over.
The ruling will almost certainly be appealed directly to the U.S. Supreme Court, where a pro-Trump majority could reverse it.
