This is our last chance to get DeVos to reverse her rule.
Generation Progress

John,

We promise—this is our last email to you about this upsetting news—but that’s only because TIME IS RUNNING OUT!

And we still need more people like YOU to submit a comment to Secretary Betsy DeVos!

As of today, we only have THREE DAYS LEFT to take action to protect college students and student loan borrowers during this pandemic.

ICYMI: Betsy DeVos implemented a new rule on June 17, 2020 that disproportionately harms GI Bill student veterans, students with defaulted loans, undocumented students, college students with low grades, and more.

DeVos and her Department of Education wrote their own discriminatory policy specifically to exclude these students from receiving emergency funds from the CARES Act, which included more than $6 billion for college students to use on tuition, food, housing, child care, school supplies, and more.

We need your help to ensure that all students are able to receive the aid Congress appropriated for them.

Submit a comment to the Department by Friday, July 17.

SUBMIT COMMENT

Tell DeVos that this rule is unnecessary, discriminatory, and will only make it harder for colleges to distribute this emergency aid.

Not only that, hindering access to emergency financial aid will make the student debt crisis worse.

Make sure you add a sentence with your personal concern, so we submit as many unique and diverse comments as possible!

If you’ve already submitted a comment, text five friends and tell them to click and act NOW to help these students.

Again, WE ONLY HAVE THREE DAYS LEFT!

Yours in revolution,
