Who are we fighting for? That’s a question I think about a lot in government right now.
President Trump has made it clear who he’s fighting for. He just trashed a Biden-era rule that makes airlines compensate passengers when flights are delayed. He got rid of the program that allows people to file their taxes for free. And of course, he passed massive tax cuts for billionaires while throwing millions of people off their health care and SNAP benefits.
Democrats are fighting for you. We’re fighting to protect access to quality, affordable health care. We’re fighting against efforts to take healthy food away from working families. We’re fighting against corporate greed so you can afford all the things you need every day.
Working in public service means working for everyday people trying to make ends meet. Not the billionaires who are doing just fine already.
We have to fight even harder,
