John,

When we talk about safety and justice, we cannot separate those words from trans liberation.

As a state senator in Illinois, I’ve fought to expand healthcare access, defend LGBTQ+ youth, and end systems that criminalize identity. I’ve seen firsthand how trans people are targeted — in our schools, in our prisons, in our healthcare systems.

Trans rights are not up for debate. They are essential to building a world rooted in care, not control.

Christopher Street Project is helping lead the political fight for trans power across the country. This Trans Awareness Week, I’m asking you to step up too.

Will you split a donation between my campaign and Christopher Street Project’s today and help build a political movement that fights for every member of our community?

Jo and her son
Robert Peters knows what it means to defy the odds. Born deaf to a mother battling addiction and raised by a social worker and a civil rights attorney on the South Side of Chicago, he learned early on what it means to fight for justice and care for the community.

That’s why he became a public servant—to build systems that work for all people.

Now, Robert is ready to take that fight to Washington and build an Illinois that works for all of us—not just the wealthy or well-connected. But he can’t do it alone.

So please, will you become a Founding Donor today and power this people-first, grassroots movement? >>
