The Democratic candidate for TX Senate, Taylor Rehmet, received over 56,000 votes on Election Day. And because there were 2 Republicans fighting for the same spot, they split the vote, and no one emerged with a majority — and Taylor had a 10-point lead in the race.

That means Taylor has a runoff to win, something the media and pundits didn’t expect — and we have to get to work NOW , y’all!

Folks didn’t see this coming. We’ve got to double down for Taylor. He truly has a shot if momentum stays on his side. That means we desperately need more literature, more digital ads to get the word out to voters about the runoff. And, (if we can raise enough!), an extra field organizer to help us knock doors. Let me be crystal effin’ clear here too, folks: Taylor can win. He almost won against two Republicans with deep networks in the district. This is a real chance to flip a seat in the State Senate , and I wouldn’t ask you for help if I didn’t think we could pull out this win.

Taylor is an outstanding candidate, a union president, and a veteran. He is exactly who we need addressing the struggles of real, everyday Texans.
