Trump could commute Ghislaine Maxwell's sentence. Add your name to demand he reject her request.
Dear MoveOn member,
This week, House Democrats released a new trove of emails in which Jeffrey Epstein himself claimed that Donald Trump "knew about the girls."1 The claims in these emails are shocking—and bring no surprise to why Trump is working hard to stop the files from being released and protecting Ghislaine Maxwell.
The Trump administration interviewed Maxwell for "additional information" earlier this year, and she's since been moved to a special treatment prison.2 Now, she's asking for the Trump administration to shorten or wipe away her prison sentence.
Maxwell was convicted of trafficking girls and young women for Epstein, helping him recruit and abuse victims for years while both of them used their power and privilege to avoid consequences.3 Now she's asking for leniency from the same people who have repeatedly shown they'll protect the powerful—and Trump said he won't rule out helping Maxwell.4
Survivors deserve justice—not another backroom deal for the wealthy and well connected. Add your name to demand that Maxwell's commutation be rejected.
For decades, Epstein and Maxwell's crimes were hidden behind closed doors while countless victims were silenced.5 Their wealth and political connections allowed them to evade justice for years.
Any attempt to minimize Maxwell's punishment now would be an insult to survivors and a blatant abuse of power.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) owes the public transparency about how and why this commutation request is even being considered. Instead, the DOJ only continues to dismiss and ignore the public's loud cries for transparency regarding Epstein, burying the truth.
Trump and his MAGA allies claim to care about "law and order."6 But when it comes to their friends and political benefactors, they are eager to rewrite the story and erase all accountability.
More than 38,000 MoveOn members have signed the petition to keep up the pressure on the Trump administration and ensure there is NO special treatment for Maxwell! Will you join them?
Thanks for all you do.

Sign the petition if you agree: NO pardon for Jeffrey Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell!
Dear MoveOn member,
President Donald Trump refuses to say whether or not he would pardon Ghislaine Maxwell—who was sentenced to 20 years in prison back in 2021 for her role in the disturbing sexual abuse and trafficking of children.7
For decades, Jeffrey Epstein sexually abused and trafficked girls and young women. His power and money shielded him from accountability—and he was enabled by those around him.
Americans have been left in the dark about how many people
were involved
and helped Epstein cover up these atrocious
crimes. Maxwell,
his former girlfriend,
is
one of the few people
who has been
held responsible for
their
role in the abuse. But with Maxwell sidling up to the Trump administration, even that sliver of accountability seems to be at risk.
Will you sign the petition to make it clear to Trump that Americans vehemently oppose pardoning Maxwell?
After weeks of immense backlash regarding the
Trump
administration’s handling of the Epstein files and Trump's connection to Epstein, the administration is now looking to Maxwell to provide “additional information” and shift the heat away from them.8
The Department of Justice interviewed Maxwell over the course of two days, and
they
are using her interview to try to absolve Trump of wrongdoing in the public eye—stating
that
Maxwell said Trump had never done anything of concern around her.9
And instead of just publicly releasing the Epstein files like Trump said he would, the administration is trying to divert public pressure by saying they’ll release their interview with Maxwell.10 And a federal judge denied the DOJ's request to unseal grand jury transcripts from Maxwell's investigation.11 Maxwell—a convicted sex offender who is trying to have her sentence overturned—is not a credible source. The Trump administration shouldn’t even be meeting with her, let alone using her statements to distract from their own lack of transparency.
Will you sign the petition to make it clear to Trump that Americans are not distracted, and we demand NO pardon for Maxwell?
Instead of taking accountability for the immeasurable harm she has caused, Maxwell has instead been fighting her conviction, filing an appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court. After her already shady interview with the DOJ, Maxwell was suspiciously moved from a federal prison in Florida to a minimum security camp in Texas. Even the former Bureau of Prisons Chief of Internal Affairs Robert Hood called the move a "travesty of justice."12
And now, rumors are circulating about a potential pardon13—rumors that Trump refuses to lay to rest.
In recent weeks, when asked if he would pardon Maxwell, Trump has refused to denounce her or her crimes. Instead he has emphasized that he is "allowed to give her a pardon" but hasn’t been approached about it.14
Pardoning Maxwell should not even be up for consideration. Add your name to the petition if you agree.
Donald Trump, who on the campaign trail promised to release the Epstein files, has come under fire in recent weeks for
his backtracking on previous
statements and refusal to give the American people the transparency they deserve.
Pardoning
Maxwell
would further send a dangerous message to the rich and powerful that they are above even the most heinous of crimes. And it would be an awful affront to the survivors and their families who bravely came forward to hold
Maxwell
accountable.
Trump needs to know that if he considers pardoning Maxwell, he will face our overwhelming public outrage. Sign the petition NOW and then share it with three friends.
Thanks for all you do.
