John, Mark Kelly here.
Yesterday, I joined Senator Slotkin and some military and intelligence veterans in Congress in putting together a video for the men and women serving our country. The message was very simple:
You can refuse illegal orders. In fact, our nation depends on the military’s duty to support and defend the Constitution itself above any one leader.
In response, Stephen Miller and others in Trump’s orbit have accused us of insurrection.
I flew combat missions in Desert Storm, and I was almost shot down more than once. I was also at the Capitol when Stephen’s boss sent a mob to try to steal an election. I know the difference between defending our Constitution and an insurrection, even if Trump and Miller don’t.
Stephen Miller has never worn the uniform. He’s never served anyone or anything but Trump and himself. He was there when Trump asked if he could have protestors shot. He’s responsible for some of the absolute worst things coming out of this Administration, and he’s working around the clock to give Trump more and more power.
Frankly, if Stephen Miller is speaking out against us, we must be on the right track.
With that being said, the reality here is that we’re up against the wealthiest and most powerful people in the entire world. They’ve got all the money they’ll ever need, and they’re going to spend every dollar they can to stay in power. We won’t stand a chance in 2026 or 2028 unless we raise the resources to fight back. It would be foolish to ignore that.
But I am not afraid of them. You shouldn’t be either.
