Friend,

Despite the ongoing chaos in Washington, I’m not stepping back from the fight. There’s a whole lot of work to be done to secure affordable healthcare and protect working families. I want to share a bit of what I’ve been up to around the district in the last few weeks.

I hope you read these updates from the campaign trail in their entirety, but if you’re short on time and want to show your support, $3 or any amount would go a long way toward building the movement we need.

Thank you,

Nikki

Immigrants make Illinois – and our country – great. With the spike in ICE activity in Southern Illinois, I brought immigration groups together to discuss how we can protect and support our neighbors. It’s why I’m proud to cosponsor the Protecting Sensitive Locations Act, which would prohibit immigration enforcement action in spaces that provide essential services and refuge.

Watch my remarks in their entirety here.

I joined the Carpenters Local 270 for their monthly meeting. Unions built this country, and it’s my priority to protect and defend them.

I met with folks in Macoupin County and joined the Greater Springfield Dems to share what I’m working on in Congress. Nothing is more important to me than delivering real results and improving working families’ lives across IL-13.

I was honored to take part in the JFK dinner to share about my work on lowering costs and bringing critical resources back to Madison County.

As you can see, the fight isn’t stopping now that the government shutdown has ended. If anything, it’s fired me up to find a solution for working families, end the affordability crisis, and secure healthcare for the thousands in our district than depend on it.

I’m working hard in Washington and back home to do just that. I appreciate your support, and if you’re able, $3 or any amount today would help build our strong momentum on the ground.

Thank you,

Nikki
