I wanted to make sure you saw this:

Time and time again, federal courts have reaffirmed what we all already knew: Trump lacks the authority to send the National Guard into Portland. 

Now, this ruling is the final nail in the coffin — and a win for everyone who saw Trump’s orders for what they were: An unprecedented, un-American, authoritarian abuse of power to stir up chaos and seize even more power for himself.

But while I am glad that President Trump was stopped here, there are still many, many battles to be fought on behalf of the American people.

We have to continue opposing Trump’s cruel abuse of ICE’s authority to terrorize our communities and disappear so many of our friends, family, and loved ones.

We have to reverse the BILLIONS of dollars Republicans cut from Medicaid and SNAP in their Big Ugly Tax Bill.

And we STILL have to extend the expired ACA tax credits and fix the health care crisis that Republicans have so far REFUSED to address.

So here’s my promise to you: I will NEVER give up the fight for working families, and I’ll continue pulling every lever of power I can to oppose the Trump administration’s extreme policies. If that’s the kind of fight you want to see more of in Congress, please, pitch in $6 or whatever makes sense to help me keep up the fight for you, your family, and your community in Washington →
