It's time to regulate these dangerous weapons ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Friend,

This ghost story is downright terrifying. People can build a DIY gun made from readily available, unregulated parts in just an hour--no background check required.  That means domestic abusers, felons, and people intent on hurting others can avoid almost every single one of our nation's gun safety laws.

The Bureau for Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) created this loophole by allowing the sale of “unfinished” gun parts without any safety requirements. And that means they can close the loophole.

Sign the petition to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms: Regulate ghost guns as firearms.

We do not know how many of these ghost guns are out there.¹ But, ATF agents recovered dozens in Philadelphia in just one year. Others were found in Central Pennsylvania.

That prompted Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro to classify guns as firearms, requiring buyers to meet the same legal requirements as if they were purchasing a firearm. Now it is up to the state police to address these deadly weapons.²

Tell ATF to help them out. Sign the petition.

Soon after the Attorney General’s announcement, gun rights groups sued him. And, the absence of any federal guidance, it makes it more likely ghost guns will find their way into Pennsylvania. It’s time the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms treat something that can turn into a gun in minutes as a firearm.

Sincerely,
Adam Garber
