John,

I’m going to get right to it, because this one really matters. Speaker Mike Johnson recently said that Republicans “have a long list of ideas” to address health care.

Well… I haven’t seen a single one. Not one. Nothing.

And honestly, families in Vermont and across this country don’t have time to wait for imaginary plans or empty promises. Too many people are skipping the doctors appointments and medical care they need. Too many parents are looking at a bill and wondering what they’re supposed to cut just to stay afloat.

Before I go any further — I know my team has been talking with you about our fundraising goal, and it’s because this one really matters. We’ve got to crush it so we don’t fall behind heading into the new year.

Can you click here and chip in $5, $15 or whatever feels right to help us close the gap? Our goal was to hit $5000 before the end of the month and we only have $2895 left to raise! WE CAN DO THIS! [[link removed]]

Here’s the truth as I see it — and the truth people across this country keep telling me time and time again: Health care shouldn’t be a luxury. And no one should be stuck in debt for the “crime” of getting sick.

We already have a real plan to fix this crisis: UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE.

It’s simple. It’s fair. And it takes the power away from giant corporations and puts it back where it belongs — with the people.

I support universal healthcare because I’ve sat with families who are drowning in medical bills. I’ve heard from neighbors who have to ration their medication. I’ve talked with young people who worry more about staying insured than chasing their dreams. It doesn’t have to be this way.

And I’m going to keep fighting — as a mom, as someone who listens first, and as someone who isn’t afraid to call out corporate greed or broken systems when they are hurting our people.

But here’s the tough part: speaking this truth and pushing for real change means we get outspent. A lot. My team is working around the clock because we cannot afford to fall behind heading into the end of year.

Out of the $5,000 we need this month to stay on track, we still have $2,895 left to raise — and we only get there if a lot of us pitch in a little.

So, if you can today, will you consider jumping in this fight with me to make sure I have the resources to keep going hard for the people? Even $10 makes a real difference in a grassroots campaign like this. [[link removed]]

I’m proud to do this work. I’m proud to fight for health care, for mental health care, for housing people can actually afford, for a fairer economy, for our democracy — for all of us.

Thanks for being in this fight with me!
