| John,
The U.S. Supreme Court just agreed to hear a case that could upend how mail-in ballots are handled across the country, and it’s part of a troubling pattern.
The case, Watson v. Republican National Committee, challenges a state law that allows ballots mailed by Election Day to be counted if they arrive shortly after. If the Court sides with the RNC, it could throw dozens of state election systems into chaos ahead of the 2026 elections.
It’s all part of a larger effort by Washington to dictate how states run their elections, and to sow doubt before the next one even happens.
I’ve pushed back against every attempt to take over Minnesota’s elections. Our system is fair, accurate, honest, and secure, and I will always defend it.
But I need your help to make sure we have the resources to keep pushing back. Will you chip in $10 or more this week to help us stand up to these attacks on democracy?

Let’s be clear: This isn’t about one state’s law. It’s about control.
We’ve seen this play before. The Trump Administration has:
– Threatened to “ban” mail-in voting by executive order.
– Tried to seize private voter data from states like Minnesota.
– Pressured the Justice Department to “find fraud” in the 2020 election that simply didn’t exist.
Minnesota routinely has one of the highest voter turnout rates in the country because people trust the process.
I won’t let anyone take that trust away but I’ll need your help to keep defending our democracy. Will you please pitch in $5 or more this week to help us get our message out?
Thank you,
Steve
