Dear Friends,

Last week was big. Not only did we get intoxicating hemp products nationally banned ([link removed]) , but we also hosted three major events alongside that legislative victory.

We launched my new book One Nation Under the Influence ([link removed]) with two amazing events, one in DC and one at our New York offices. And I want to note that thanks to people like you, it’s already hit #1 in two categories on Amazon!

The turnout for both events was incredible: I was grateful and proud to have energized and activated so many of you. The questions you asked were penetrating and really helped me see new perspectives on the work—and the deep sense of community made it all that much more powerful. We captured the New York event on video; you can watch it here ([link removed]) .

We also launched our New York Impact Report ([link removed]) . The report documents how New York’s legalization of marijuana and subsequent regulatory framework are failing the very people they are supposed to help (including marginalized communites). The launch generated major media coverage, including a Sunday feature in the New York Post ([link removed]) : great news when it comes to awareness of the danger marijuana poses to public health, especially for young people. We also announced our New York ad campaign, “What Is Marijuana? ([link removed]) ”, directly informed by our findings from the report. Watch ([link removed]) the New York Impact Report launch here. And you can download the report itself here ([link removed]) .

All this made last week definitely one for the books. We couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you for your ongoing support. We will continue to value it as we move toward new frontiers.

With gratitude,

Dr. Kevin A. Sabet
