John,
Donald Trump is scared of whatever is in the Epstein files — and yesterday, he showed it.
When ABC News asked him the simplest possible question — why he still refuses to release the Epstein files — Trump snapped and threatened the network on live television:
“I think the license should be taken away from ABC.”
This is exactly why courageous, independent journalism is essential right now — and why COURIER cannot back down.

Because make no mistake: Trump’s threat isn’t bluster.
This was a president using the power of his office to bully the press because he doesn’t want the public to see what’s in those files.
And the timing is not an accident.
Congress just voted 427–1 to force the release of the Epstein records. Trump will have to sign the bill. And the Justice Department will have to release the files — names included.
Trump is scared of what happens next. He knows the truth could be dangerous to him. And he’s following the same chilling autocratic playbook he has followed throughout his second term: threaten, sue, and intimidate the press so they will back off and give him the coverage he wants.
This is the same Trump who sued ABC and walked away with a $15 million payout.
The same Trump whose FCC chair, Brendan Carr, threatened ABC’s broadcast license — and days later, ABC suspended Jimmy Kimmel after he mocked Charlie Kirk’s death.
He has shown again and again that he will try to silence any journalist who stands up to him.
Here’s the part Trump can’t stand: COURIER will not be intimidated.
We’ve already done what legacy outlets wouldn’t: we built a searchable public database of more than 20,000 Epstein emails so people can see the truth for themselves — without the MAGA media spin.
And when the full files drop, we’ll be ready. We will not let Trump bury a single name or hide a single page.
But we can only keep doing this work with grassroots support.
