Waking up to the truth can be excruciating. Especially when it strikes at the heart of how we see ourselves.
So we scramble to find ground. We rationalize our familiar hell. We explain away our suffering. We blame ourselves for our so-called failures and shame ourselves for having needs. The only way to survive the shame is to stay busy, to make believe it’s not happening, to justify it, to turn the other cheek.
But shame never goes away no matter how hard we hustle to beat it. Getting free is getting real with ourselves, feeling what wants to be felt, and telling the truth and nothing but the truth. Because there is no peace in holding on to what is no longer working for us.
This moon is asking us to look at all the ways we gaslight ourselves. Scorpio speaks truth at all costs but also invites us to examine what not speaking the truth is costing us.
Because systems of power thrive on our silence, rely on our emotional repression and are enabled by our compliance.
But there is a dissonance - a felt agitation that has no where to go. And that is evidence that something in you needs to change, that you are no longer willing to go along to get along, that you believe we deserve better.
All that is outdated is being shaken loose and tomorrow we will honor all that is ready to be released for us to move into new growth. Trust that what’s leaving is clearing space for what is possible.
Join me on November 20th (9APST/12EST) as we tune into the medicine of this new moon to guide us through this moment and help us see the next.
