So my opponent has written a book about her dead-in-the-water “Dignity” legislation. She recently sat down for an interview on the book and the bill, and it was eye opening, to say the least.
She said the book is dedicated to Donald Trump, who she says she loves.
Then, she proudly talked about how her plan to give immigrants “dignity” is to make them pay $7,000 A YEAR for 7 years and on top of that garnish 1% of their wages.
In exchange for this extortion? Immigrants get 7 years of “dignity status,” and what happens after those 7 years can be determined at a later date by another member of Congress.
No legal status. No pathway to citizenship. No long term plan.
And her grand plan to get this fiasco of a bill passed? Well, she dedicated the book to Trump and she prays he’ll read it.
We deserve better than this nonsense.
I’m running for Congress to unseat Salazar and fight for real solutions for immigrants and their families in our community. That means actual dignity for immigrants and their families, a pathway to citizenship, and an end to the cruelty.
Let’s keep our fight up so we can win, flip FL-27 back to blue, and kick Salazar and her extortion plan to the curb.
