John,
I read an op-ed this week that said Democrats in South Carolina should give up on electing a Democrat for governor and go vote in the Republican primary instead.
Frankly - that’s insane.
If you are as tired as I am of being told to sit down and accept one-party rule, I need you to chip in right now and help me prove the pundits wrong. [[link removed]]

Let me tell you something, John. I have been hearing some version of "you should give up" my whole life.
When I was a kid who bounced between schools and motels, nobody thought I would use basketball to change my life. I earned a full scholarship to the College of Charleston and became team captain.
When I said I was going to run for the State House against a 22-year incumbent, people laughed. They said I couldn’t raise the money or build the organization it would take to win. Then we got to work, built a grassroots army, and beat that incumbent… by a lot.
Every time someone in power says "this is just how it is in South Carolina," what they are really saying is that families like mine should never get a real shot and voters should never have a real choice.I refuse to accept that, and I know you do too.
So let’s send a message that we are done being underestimated. Please chip in whatever you can to help us build a campaign strong enough to flip this state and finally give South Carolina a real choice in 2026. [[link removed]]
Thanks for standing with me,

[link removed] [[link removed]]I’m Jermaine Johnson, and I’m running to be the next Governor of South Carolina.
I wasn’t born into power — I fought my way into it. I'm not a career politician or a wealthy insider. I'm a husband, father, and fighter who knows what it’s like to grow up with nothing and still keep pushing forward.
Chip in now as we prepare for the fight ahead » [[link removed]]
