I’m often asked on the trail how I campaign day in and day out.
The honest truth is that running for office can be a grind. It’s tough on families because candidates not only open themselves up to personal and political attacks, but the time spent campaigning to win is long and hard.
But I’m no stranger to the hard work or the tough challenges of a high-profile political campaign. As I type this message to you, I’ve already swam a mile and rode my bike 15 miles this morning as part of my triathlon training.
I’ve learned from triathlons that the finish line only comes if you keep pushing. Soon I’ll ask for your help before my fundraising deadline, but if you want to step up now, you can do so by following this link to chip in.
Triathletes and endurance athletes will share the same advice that applies to the state of American politics today:
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Wetsuits, chafing, headwinds, blisters—you learn to push through. Progress comes when you stop fighting discomfort and start working with it.
Flipping the Senate seat in a swing state like New Hampshire is going to take hard work from a Republican who can take the attacks. The Democrats have already put a target on me because they know I can WIN this seat. So they’re throwing EVERYTHING they can at me to try to scare me.
But I’m the kind of guy who can take the hits and blows they throw. Hardworking Americans like you shouldn’t be perennial targets of the Democrats’ radical agenda and radical speech, and we can’t let them take over the Senate in 2026. The stakes are just too high!
Remember your “why.” When things get hard, reconnect with your purpose. It’s not strength that carries you—it’s purpose.
The same is true off the course. I know WHY I’m in this race. My belief in God, family, and service drives my life’s purpose. I believe in the promise of America. I believe in our future. And I believe Republicans are leading the way toward a stronger, safer, and more prosperous country.
But we can’t afford to let up. Not now. If we’ve learned anything over the last few years, it’s this: when Democrats are in control, things fall apart FAST. Inflation spikes, our borders are left WIDE OPEN to criminals and terrorists, our standing on the world stage weakens, and hardworking families are left behind.
Break the race into segments. Long-distance races may seem impossible—until you just focus on the next buoy, the next hill, or the next mile marker. Big goals work the same way. Winning this race will be expensive. You’ve read the headlines. Democrats believe flipping the Senate majority is their best shot at stopping the America First agenda, and they are raising record amounts of money for their liberal candidates.
My first quarterly FEC fundraising deadline is approaching on September 30th. Liberals from Hollywood and Manhattan are throwing MILLIONS at him to win this open Senate seat. But my campaign is fueled by Patriots like YOU.
The finish line only comes if you keep pushing. Training as a triathlete taught me grit. That same grit fuels this campaign. I promise you I will keep pushing toward the finish line, and we will WIN this campaign together.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message this morning. Your support does not go unnoticed, and I’m so grateful for it.
All my best, Scott P. Brown Candidate for U.S. Senate New Hampshire
