There are all kinds of ways people make big money in this world. Owning an exclusive golf club or resort doesn’t hurt. Affixing your name to some sneakers or a perfume line could lead to some lucrative branding. Launching a cryptocurrency business is also a possibility. It generally takes resources, connections, and power to make big money, though you can make small money with far less.

At the Christian Century we’re not interested in making any money, big or small. We don’t have a memecoin to hype on social media or an international construction project that needs your investment. We just have a lovely magazine that exists to inform, challenge, enlighten, and encourage truth-telling in your journey of life and faith. For 125 years, this has been our assignment. All I care about when communicating with you regarding money is our need to pay the bills and retain our gifted staff.

Well, there is one more thing to communicate regarding money. A couple of incredible people who want to do everything in their power to sustain the Century are offering you a dollar-for-dollar match between now and Dec. 31, 2025. They believe in our work, and they believe in you. They’re backing up that confidence with this matching pledge. Will you similarly believe in and help sustain our nonprofit journalistic ministry?
