*Upcoming classes:*

*Combustible Dust Safety – December 2, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  *SafetyWorks! Training Institute, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta

Combustible dust is fine particles that present an explosion hazard when suspended in air under certain conditions. This half-day course assists employers in recognizing combustible dust and controlling the hazards associated with combustible dust in the workplace.

*A Practical Approach to Electrical Safety – December 4, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. *SafetyWorks! Training Institute, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta

This course teaches participants about electricity and its hazards, identifies common electrical hazards found in the workplace, and safe work practices for working around electricity.

 

*Public Sector Compliance – December 5, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. VIRTUAL*

This course reviews the regulatory standards for public sector compliance, the programs, training, and inspection requirements, as well as common hazards identified in public sector workplaces. Also included is an outline of the resources provided by SafetyWorks and the SHAPE program which exempts public sector workplaces from programmed enforcement inspections.

 

*Developing & Conducting Assessments, Audits, and Inspections – December 9, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. *SafetyWorks! Training Institute, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta

Identifying hazards is a key element to preventing injuries in the workplace. This course explores the timing, frequency, and process of various hazard identification tools that can be used to proactively protect your workers.

 

*Establishing or Improving Your Safety & Health Committee – December 10, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – **3:30 p.m. *SafetyWorks! Training Institute, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta

Whether starting a new safety and health committee or improving your existing one, this course will provide employers with the key elements to a successful team, safety committee design recommendations, facilitation basics, and common practices of effective safety and health committees.

 

*10 Hour Construction Standards– December 18 & 19, 2025 l 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (Day 1) and  **8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Day 2) *SafetyWorks! Training Institute, 45 Commerce Drive, Augusta

This one-and-a-half-day course teaches hazard identification and controls on a variety of construction industry safety and health topics (29 CFR 1926). This is an entry-level course and attendees who complete this course will receive an OSHA 10-hour course completion certificate.
