The notorious Chicago area Broadview ICE facility is a blacksite that has served as the beating heart of Trump’s Operation Midway Blitz which saw a national guard deployment to the city, the shooting down of innocent civilians, and a dragnet roundup that saw arrests of undocumented Chicagoans and black and brown US citizens alike. 

Migrants are being tortured, deprived of food and water, and disappeared from this facility. 

This is why this fall myself and hundreds of my peers gathered in front of the facility to protest against ICE and the Trump administration's fascist crackdown. In response ICE rammed a car through the crowd of protestors and tear gassed us. I was hit by the car as well as teargassed.

In response to the video I shared of ICE’s crackdown against protestors, MAGA pundit and pardoned January 6th insurrectionist Ryan Nichols called me a terrorist and demanded a special forces style pre-dawn raid against my home and that I be deprived of all rights as a US citizen. 

What he called for is disgusting, unAmerican, and evidence of our gruesome foreign wars coming home to American soil. 

The War on Terror has conditioned millions of Americans to think of Muslims as terrorists. And the answers to terrorists: solutions like pre-dawn special forces raids and Guantanamo style solitary confinement and suspension of habeas corpus. 

I am fighting to end America’s blood soaked foreign policy. The uptick in violence in our country, the militarization of our police, the dehumanization of non-white Americans, all of it can be traced back to what we’ve done abroad and now we are witnessing what happens when that violence inevitably comes home. 

Because IL-09 is a deep blue seat MAGA knows that they can’t win here with a GOP candidate. Instead, ultra-MAGA donors and donors to the Trump aligned AIPAC organization are pumping hundreds of thousands of dollars into my primary opponents campaign coffers in the hopes of having a Democrat in Congress who will collaborate, support Trump’s wars, and do MAGA’s bidding.  

We can’t let MAGA neutralize this seat, we need to make sure Chicago elects a real Democrat who will fight the administration tooth and nail. Please can you rush a donation of $25, $10, or even $5 to ensure the real Democrat comes out on top in this primary?
